Cycle to the spectacular point at the end of Africa. Join free roaming ostrich, zebra, bontebok and baboons in the Cape of Good Hope national park. Watch for penguins, whales, dolphins and sharks at the melting pot of the Atlantic and Indian oceans. Breathe clean air hinted with aerosols from the world's most diverse floral kingdom.
Bicycles are availble for pick-up and drop-off in Simon's Town, accessible by scenic train ride from central Cape Town. Intrepid cyclists meet daily at 54 St George's st. Round trip distance is 50 km, through wild and hilly terrain, usually with strong wind. Recommended only for the fit and adventurous.
Trips usually take 5 - 7 hours. Please bring layers for varied weather, water and food to re-energize and a working phone for emergencies. Prices are for rentals. Guides can be added for an extra cost.
